The Burgundy Truffle whose scientific name is TUBER UNCINATUM CHATIN, has an aroma recalling hazelnuts.
It is an emerging truffle with a good productiveness and satisfactory returns. It features good tasting notes and it is getting more and more requested both in the domestic and international market. It is a common truffle in Italy as well as in France.
It can be found in the Northern and Central regions of Italy where it is particularly appraised. It grows in calcareous soils sometimes rich in organic materials.
