After more than twenty years’ experience in close contact with local truffle hunters, the famous “Trifolao“, Tartufi al Massimo was founded in 2005. This company remains clearly family-run, where experience coexists with high professionalism and, above all, with the utmost attention to customers, among whom are high quality and starred restaurants, prestigious gastronomic speciality shops, reflecting the quality of Made in Italy.

Passion, dedication and experience have enabled the creation of a truffle product line that makes use of a careful examination of what already exists on the market and, not least, of the new taste trends of an increasingly demanding clientele.

Truffle oil, truffle sauces, carpaccios, creams, pastas and more, are produced with a craftsmanship of excellence that allows the essence of this icon of taste, an object of emotion and enjoyment for the gourmet, to be appreciated in every month of the year.

Tartufi al Massimo proposes real virtual journeys through time, landscapes, customs and the deepest traditions of the ‘Genti di Langa’ in a land now a Unesco World Heritage Site.  

Thanks to these places that offer such a vast gastronomic richness, tales, curiosities, anecdotes and legends of an ancient tradition come back to mind.


Massimo Cillario, the owner, was born in Dogliani, a town in the heart of the Langhe, where wine and hazelnuts are the side dish to His Majesty the Truffle. In Dogliani, Massimo lives with his family, working in the hub of the world truffle market, namely Alba and the Langhe, a physical place where all products of Piedmont gastronomic excellence find their rightful place. This has made it possible to differentiate the local product from that of other areas and to focus exclusively on the undisputed quality and freshness of the native product.
